I am an Israeli Jew and a citizen of the free world, a versatile musician who transitions effortlessly from accompanying artists as a drummer to leading as a vocalist. My musical journey spans from classical compositions to jazz, from the vibrant rhythms of Africa to the soulful essence of the blues. By day, I am a devoted family man; by night, I transform into a night owl, thriving in the pulsating energy of dark clubs. Imagine a well-groomed poodle with the heart of a lion – that duality captures my essence. Within me resides an Eastern ‘black panther’ that has been shaped by a Western Ashkenazi education, a grounded individual with my head in the clouds, akin to a Mediterranean salad with countless ingredients. I am both a dreamer and a visionary.
From as far back as I can remember, embracing these contradictions has been a challenge. The cacophony of abundance often turned into a sense of lack. In my attempts to quiet, limit, and narrow my scope, I found myself facing artificial and insincere constraints, leading to immense frustration.

While working on this album, a revelation dawned upon me: it is time to cease resisting and begin embracing my multifaceted self. It is time to find peace and acceptance in my own skin. Though I may be divided between worlds, I am whole with the myriad of colours that compose my unique puzzle, aptly named “Whole Half.”
The album “Divided and Whole” is a testament to my identity as a composer, writer, and performer. It does not adhere to a single musical style or narrative theme, but rather, it is unified by the context in which the songs were created – during the same period, in the same place, and with the same cherished individuals. Most of the songs were born in the early morning hours, a time I hold dear, in the tranquillity before the day’s storm, beginning with words and followed by melody
